Heritage Wines Shiraz 2021
The Wine
This Shiraz is crafted from 100% Shiraz grapes, sourced from the esteemed regions of Marananga and Greenock, known for their high-quality Shiraz grapes. The wine boasts a deep hue and an aromatic profile brimming with syrupy blackberry and spice notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, harmonizing toasty oak with sweet fruit. A twelve-month maturation in American oak barrels has enriched the varietal flavors with a subtle complexity. Currently, the wine is exquisite to drink and promises to enhance with further aging. It pairs exceptionally well with dishes such as roast lamb and rare rump steak.

About the Wine Maker
Established in 1984, Heritage Wines is located in the historic village of Marananga, a region renowned for producing some of the finest wines in the Barossa for over a century.
This small, family-owned winery, managed by winemaker Steve Hoff, offers breathtaking views of the vineyards and the Barossa ranges. Renowned for its old-fashioned hospitality, the cellar door presents a select yet impressive range of varietal wines that have garnered a dedicated following and increasing export demands across the UK, Europe, the USA, and Asia.
Steve, a sixth-generation descendant of early Barossa settlers, has been recognized by James Halliday as one of the Barossa Valley's 'quiet achievers,' known for crafting exceptionally good wines. Committed to the Barossa's legacy, Steve produces high-quality varietal wines that highlight the regional fruit characteristics and the unique styles of the Barossa.
The winery sources fruit from its 20-acre estate vineyard in Marananga and from premium vineyards across the Barossa Valley, with careful consideration of climate, soil types, and vineyard management to craft their wines.
Specializing in varieties that thrive in this Barossa sub-region, the vineyard practices minimal irrigation and hand pruning. This approach leads to low fruit yields, averaging two tonnes per acre, which contributes to the concentrated varietal flavors found in their wines.
