The Wine
Cepparello takes its name from a stream that begins at the highest point of the vineyards on the Isole e Olena estate. It represents the estate’s deep commitment to quality, the land, and the Sangiovese grape. First crafted in 1980, this complex, long-lived wine quickly became one of the original Super Tuscans. Each year, it’s made from a careful selection of grapes from the oldest and finest vineyards on the property in the northwestern part of Chianti Classico, then aged for 20 months in 25% new barriques.
