The Wine

We met Marie et Vincent in October 2022 at Orcet - tasted out of tank/barrel and held an extended field tour of their vineyard. A most generous couple with their time and knowledge - who productive great and distinctive vins from this hot bed region for natural wine!

The 22 ‘3 Bonhommes’ is one of the best Auvergne wines I've experienced. An intoxicating nose of perfumed cherry, violets with a subtle earth undercurrent. Expansive on the palate but still very focused. The characters on the nose then merge with the palate so effortlessly. Pure, striking and true to type, this encapsulates the Auvergne's blessed terroir. A pleasure to drink. TC

About the Wine Maker

Marie & Vincent are based in Orcet, south of Clermont-Ferrand. It is here that they work 5 hectares as naturally as possible. With a majority of Gamay d'Auvergne, a little Pinot Noir and a little Chardonnay Muscadet and Sauvignon Blanc. Organically grown with no Sulphur unused in the production.

Born in Anjou, Vincent left the Loire to study oenology, and after graduating, he embarked on an apprenticeship experience in Brouilly, with oenologist Patrick Coton. During this time, he met Marcel Lapierre and many other winemakers who began to draw attention to their non-interventionist style of winemaking. Vincentis struck by their wines and quickly decides that this was the path for him.
In 2002, after traveling the world, he moved with his wife and their 2 daughters to the village of Orcet in Auvergne.
