Domaine Seguinot-Bordet Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume 2024
The Wine
100% chardonnay from 40- to 60-year-old vines predominantly from the prized L’homme Mort section of Fourchaume, grown in ancient Kimmeridgian limestone soil and aged in temperature-controlled tanks.
A lovely pale golden yellow with delicate greenish hues, bright, luminous, and crystal clear. The nose bursts with fresh, refined aromas of elegant white flowers, freshly baked brioche, and a hint of leafy freshness. The taste instantly unveils its power, richness, and elegance—a perfect harmony of finesse, minerality, smoothness, and liveliness. It offers a generous array of aromas, with a finish that lingers endlessly, unforgettable.
90-92 Pts Allen Meadows, Burghound 'This is an interesting wine that somehow manages to be both riper and cooler on the nicely layered nose of pear, apple, quinine and tidal shore scents. The rich, round and supple medium-bodied flavors are dense and generous while delivering fine length on the compact, dry and sneaky long finale. Once again, a few years of cellaring should help noticeably in terms of overall depth."'90-92 Points, Allen Meadows Burghound.com, Oct 2025
Brooding, textural and seductive! TC
