The Wine

Fruit was whole bunch pressed to oak with a small portion left on skins for 15 days before being pressed off separately to complete fermentation. * Both parcels were combined post fermentation. * Natural partial malolactic fermentation and aged in older oak barrels for 4 months before bottled unfined and filtered.

Pear and guava notes add to the lively expression of fruit of this wine and the chalky fine undertones of ginger and clove spice. This wine is driven and textural and is a great expression of the Gris style. TMXT

About the Wine Maker

Ten Minutes by Tractor’s first labelled vintage took place in 2000, a partnership of 3 family owned vineyards coming together to produce wine for the first time under one label. Martin and Karen Spedding purchased the company in 2004 retaining the personal and commercial relationships with the founding growers of which you can find their names immortalised on some of the single vineyard bottlings each year. Fast forward to current day and Ten Minutes by Tractor has solidified themselves amongst some of the most sought after producers of the Mornington Peninsula producers along with arguably some of the best single vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir bottlings in Australia. The epicentre of the winery’s history is firmly rooted in the subregion of Main Ridge, where several of their single vineyard wines are sourced from alongside owned and leased vineyards around Balnarring + Merricks.
