95 Pts Gary Walsh, The Wine Front 'Gee, this is a tight and ultra-mineral expression of Nebbiolo. Juicy red fruit, lots of perfume like thyme and rosemary, some dried roses, white pepper and spice. It’s medium-bodied, stony and firm, lots of crunch and pomegranate here, kind of cool and mentholated, something of a juniper berry twang, roast chestnut, with a granular etching of tannin on a red fruited finish of excellent length. There’s an element of rock licking here, which I always like. Anyway, a distinctive and different expression of Nebbiolo here. And very good it is too.'

About the Wine Maker 
Tenute Guardasole stemmed from the desire of Marco Bui (winemaker) to return to his homeland of Boca (Alto Piemonte). In no time at all Guardasole have become a benchmark maker in Alto Piemonte, working a mere two hectares of land in the Traversagna road area of Boca.
The organically certified wines of Guardasole are attracting lofty praise from some of the world’s most important wine writers such as Antonio Galloni.
Having spent time in the corporate world Marco has returned to his family land, which has been farmed to Nebbiolo & Vespolina since the 1800s, with a desire to highlight the remarkable terroir of Boca. Marco’s wines are spotlessly clean, remarkably polished yet very concentrated – utterly delicious!
Antonio Galloni 'Tenute Guardasole is yet another tiny estate in Alto Piemonte that is turning out compelling wines. Guardasole farms 1.7 hectares of vineyards perched on the highest part of Boca. The vineyards are certified biodynamic. Guardasole is an estate to watch.'
