The Wine

94-95 Pts James Suckling 'Lots or richness and fruit for this winery, showing blackberry, blackcurrant and dark-chocolate character. It’s full and layered. Well done.'

93 Pts Jane Anson decanter.com 'This has the tight tannins of the vintage with damson and an edge of bitter dark chocolate, but it is a success all the same - confident, succulent, elegant and classic. Philippe Dambrine retires as director of the estate as of this vintage, replaced by Laure Canu from Château Angélus. A yield of 45hl/ha, 40% new oak, 6% Petit Verdot completes the blend Drinking Window 2028 - 2042'

About the Wine Maker

Nestled in a forested area, the château stands as one of the most picturesque in the Médoc. Situated at the southernmost part of the region, it borders the outskirts of Bordeaux and marks the beginning of the esteemed Médoc Route des Châteaux to the north. Guided by the expertise of consultant oenologist Eric Boissenot, the wines mature for 12 months in French oak barrels, with 40% being new wood.
