The Wine

The vineyard is one of the most northerly on the Mornington Peninsula landmass. The top 30cm soil profile is made up of 20% sand, 65% silt and 15% clay. These silty loams are also known as brown chromosols and are defined by their moderate fertility and water holding capacity.

Beautifully aromatic with plenty of delicate citrus and floral perfume on the nose. The riper pear flavors are more exuberant on the palate early, but the freshness and zing of tangerine builds and provides nice length, leaving a crisp, refined & fresh finish. Some nice texture derived from ageing in French oak, gives this delicious Pinot Gris a nice contrast to the delicate aromas on the nose.
