The Wine

The first vintage of the Cuvee has finally arrived!
Sourced from 30-plus-year-old vines across Margaret River, grown in the region’s signature gravelly loam soils, the grapes were hand-picked, carefully sorted, and naturally fermented as whole berries in open fermenters for 20 to 30 days.

The wine then spent ten months in barrel and another month settling naturally in tank before bottling. The result is everything a great Margaret River Cabernet should be—mulberry, dark chocolate, and a silky, smooth structure that feels refined yet never stiff.

In Nic’s own words, 'varietal, supple and smooth, with flavours of mulberry and dark chocolate.' A benchmark introduction to the range at a price that makes it an easy yes!

Nic’s probably already over the comparisons but when you’re the son of the founder of Pierro Dr Mike Peterkin and Shelly Cullen it’s hard not to take note. His attention to detail doesn’t simply stop at what is frankly very smart packing. Going back to the origin of what’s in the bottle he is hand picking, hand sorting, hand stirring. Its serious business and a clear vision of quality.
