The Wine

Champagne Gardet are proud suppliers to The House of Commons. 
A rich and elegant vintage champagne made predominantly from the Chardonnay with some Pinot Noir. Citrus, pear and peach notes on the nose and sweet spiced vanilla and floral flavours on the palate, and a lovely toasty edge from 12 years ageing on its lees.

About the Wine Maker

The story of Champagne Gardet began at the end of the 19th Century with Charles Gardet (1870-1913). The house owns around 7 ha of premier cru vineyards around the home village of Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes and Rilly la Montagne. The long tirage time and the use of a high proportion of reserve wine has marked the house style, and in fact is a distinguishing feature of Champagne Gardet.
