Rouges Queues, Hautes-Cotes de Beaune Rouge 2020
The Wine
A dense, sweet and delicate Pinot Noir. Deeply coloured, with a nose that evokes small red fruits (wild strawberries, cherries, raspberries). Some evocative and subtle floral notes of violets. The palate refreshing, carried by a salivating acidity and fine structure. Take me home, Cotes de Beaune Roads…
Bio-Dynamic certified.

About the Wine Maker
Domaine des Rouges Queues was established in 1998 by Isabelle and Jean-Yves Vantey. They farm six hectares biodynamically across 15 different sites in various appellations. The name 'Rouges Queues' or 'red tail' in English, came about by the 'Black Redstart' birds who are resident of the area.
Isabelle and Jean-Yves Vantey farm six hectares of certified biodynamic vineyards in Maranges, Santenay, and the Hautes- Côtes de Beaune. These wines are an excellent representation of good farming in Burgundy and showcase unique, expressive character of the terrior that is sometimes lost in the bigger estates. These are pure, alive and raw wines crafted with loved by this avant- garde couple that do almost everything themselves.
